Felix was absentmindedly twirling his pen about his fingers, staring out the window, and thinking about nothing in particular, a rare occurrence, when the study door shut with a bang. Probably the wind – the window was open, after all. Normally didn’t do that though. The string held it – oh, it had snapped yesterday.
Flowers? Why flowers? They’re…pretty. I don’t know. They’re like spring. Um, I mean, they remind me of spring.

“Kevin, can you – oh, What’re you doing?” Felix padded around the corner, appearing in the kitchen still wearing his pyjamas, a tooth brush in one hand, and an empty tube of toothpaste in the other.
